About

Hello everyone!

My name is Mollie, and I’m technically 23 years old but everyone who knows me says I’m an “85 year-old woman” on the inside.

In 7th grade, I met a boy named Brady Hunker. We became friends in junior high, then started to date in high school. The summer before our sophomore year, Brady was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma (really bad bone cancer).

We remained close as Brady went through treatment, and as the cancer worsened, Brady and I talked more and more about getting married after we graduated from high school.

Brady proposed on April 18th, 2019 and we got married on July 20th. We moved into our apartment that we got together, and we went to college together in the fall.

In September, we had to leave college since the cancer spread significantly in Brady’s brain. Brady went on hospice after that, and he died on November 25th, just four months after we got married. So, I became a widow at just 19 years old.

This blog is a place for me to share my thoughts and feelings about my love story and grief journey. I hope through these posts you will see a glimpse of the wonderful man I got to marry.

There’s a lot more to my story than what I have just shared, but that’s why I created a blog! So, follow along on this journey with me! And, feel free to correct the millions of spelling and grammar errors I’m about to make because English has always been hard for me!
