Here is a super quick summary of my life with Brady…
I met a boy named Brady in 7th grade, and quickly fell for him. We became best friends, and eventually started dating! We did everything together, and Brady always tried his best to make me smile and laugh.
Soon after our relationship became more serious, Brady was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma (really bad bone cancer). I stuck with Brady through it all. I was there at all the chemo treatments and tried my best to make his life as normal as possible. After a year of treatment, and another year of remission, the cancer came back and was lethal.
This news was devastating for both Brady and I. While Brady was in remission, we had dreamed of a future together with jobs and kids and all that jazz. When Brady relapsed, we both realized that our future together would be drastically different than what we imagined, but we knew we wanted to be together, no matter what.
So, Brady and I decided to get married! We figured we should spend whatever time we had left together as a married couple. We wed on July 20, 2019, it was a beautiful and magical day.
We did typical married stuff for a while. Brady did the cooking, and I did the laundry! We went on tons of adventures, traveling all over and enjoying every moment we spent together.
Later that fall, Brady’s health took a major turn for the worst and he started hospice care. He died on November 25, 2019.
My life went from really awesome to really awful within the span of weeks. And, now I am a grieving widow who is also a teenager.
